Conditions of enrolment

Fees

  • Provision has been made to safeguard payments made in advance by students as follows.

    • All tuition fees paid before the program commences will be deposited into the Eynesbury Account.

    • For international students Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) will be withdrawn from the Student Fees Account and paid to the Health Insurance Fund before the student arrives.

    • When the student arrives Eynesbury will withdraw funds from the Student Fees Account progressively throughout the semester.

  • All fees, charges and accounts will be payable in advance as determined by Eynesbury. Students will not be permitted to commence or continue their program at the beginning of any semester until all outstanding fees, charges or accounts are paid.

  • Fees are correct as at the time of printing. Eynesbury reserves the right to vary its fees at any time.

  • Where a student studies less than or more than a full semester load (four courses) the student will pay the current course fee for each course undertaken.

  • Should it be necessary for the student to repeat a course the full amount will be charged.

Other conditions

  • The student is expected to attend all classes and undertake all tests and examinations during a program and abide by all Eynesbury rules and regulations that are in force at any time.

  • Eynesbury may by written notice vary conditions of enrolment as may be necessary to comply with any law, regulation or amendment thereof of the Commonwealth of Australia and the State of South Australia.

  • The Contract between the Applicant and Eynesbury is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia and the State of South Australia.

  • In the event of circumstances requiring urgent medical care and it is not possible to contact the parent/guardian, Eynesbury is authorised as a matter of urgency to seek and provide appropriate care.

  • The student must meet the minimum English language proficiency requirement for entry into the program. English language proficiency will be tested. If testing reveals that English language skills are insufficient, the student will be required to include a bridging English course in the first semester of study or enrol in an ELICOS course prior to the commencement of studies at the discretion of Eynesbury.

International students / Visa conditions

  • International students are not permitted to study part-time unless they are already in Australia on a spouse's study visa or a diplomatic or dependent temporary resident visa.

  • Student visas are usually issued for the period of the program. Students wishing to extend their visa should first consult Eynesbury for assistance. You must leave Australia or seek a new visa before expiration of your current visa. Information on student visa application or renewal is available at http://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/.

  • Eynesbury is obliged to report to the Australian Government any student who does not attend classes or who is not making satisfactory progress in their studies. Such a student may be asked by the Government to leave the country.

  • It is a requirement that international students pay Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) while staying in Australia. OSHC fees are reviewed annually. As a member of OSHC 85% of the Government scheduled fees for private doctors, pathology and x-rays are paid. The OSHC does not cover any pre-existing condition prior to entry into Australia, including pregnancy.   • Student visa condition 8533 requires a student to notify their education provider of any change to their residential address in Australia within 7 days.

  • International students can only work 20 hours a week while classes are in session.

  • You should acquaint yourself with full Australian student visa conditions at www.homeaffairs.gov.au BEFORE accepting your offer at Eynesbury.

  • Information is collected on this form and during your enrolment in order to meet our obligations under the Education Services for Overseas students Act 2000 (ESOS Act) and the National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2007 (National Code 2007); to ensure student compliance with the conditions of their visas and their obligations under Australian immigration laws generally. The authority to collect this information is contained in the ESOS Act, the Education Services for overseas Students Regulations 2001 and the National Code 2007. Information collected about you on this form and during your enrolment can be provided, in certain circumstances, to the Australian Government and designated authorities and, if relevant, the Tuition Assurance Scheme and the ESOS Assurance Fund Manager. In other instances information collected on this form or during your enrolment can be disclosed without your consent where authorised or required by law. Refund policy

  • Refunds due to provider default and visa refusal are applied in accordance with government legislation.

  • All other refunds are offered solely at the discretion of Eynesbury and will be calculated in accordance with the Refund Policy and Procedure in use at the time of the application for refund The current Refund Policy and Procedure documents are always available from the policy section of the Eynesbury website.

Applications for refunds should be made on the Request for Refund form available from the Student Services Centre and Eynesbury website. The form should be handed to the Student Services Centre as soon as possible after the reason for a refund arises. Refunds will be paid within 4 weeks in the case of student default, and 2 weeks in the case of Eynesbury default. International students who withdraw from their programs will have their CoE's cancelled, which may also result in visa cancellation.

Transfer policy

Eynesbury is an accredited education provider offering academic courses and programs. Students are provided with a range of information outlining program structures and requirements and articulation pathways. In light of this, requests for student transfer will take into consideration the range of information on Eynesbury provided to prospective students prior to application and enrolment.

Eynesbury will approve a student's request to transfer to another provider in all genuine cases where transfer is in the best interests of the student.

Deferment to commencement of studies

If a student wishes to defer their admission until a later semester, Eynesbury will hold the fees paid until commencement without penalty. If the student subsequently withdraws, the Refund Policy will apply as at the date Eynesbury was advised.

Leave of absence

If a student wishes to take a leave of absence from their course after enrolment and within the first four weeks of course commencement, Eynesbury will transfer any fees paid to the next semester. If the student subsequently withdraws, the Refund Policy applies from the date Eynesbury received advice regarding the leave of absence. If the student applies for a leave of absence from the fifth week of the semester, his or her place will be held, but all tuition fees applicable to that semester will be forfeited. Leave of absence will only be granted for medical and compassionate reasons that can be substantiated.
