What?

Diploma of Computing and IT

The program provides the basis for specialised study in the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia degree programs in areas such as; computing, information technology, multimedia and software engineering. In this program you will be introduced to the key skills required of an IT professional.

GPA and credit system

International Students will be eligible for admission into their University of Adelaide and University of South Australia bachelor degree program, providing they have:

  • Completed and passed all diploma courses; and
  • Achieved an overall grade-point average (GPA) or average percentage mark

A GPA is the total number of points divided by the total number of courses studied and is calculated accordingly:

To proceed to the University of South Australia via an Eynesbury Computing and IT, a minimum GPA of 3.5 is required.

To proceed to the University of Adelaide via an Eynesbury Diploma of Computing and IT, a 65% minimum mark is required.

Australian students must apply through SATAC for entry to the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia. Students who gain entry will be granted credit as specified above.

Q: As a local student, who should apply?

A: Students who have:

  • Satisfactorily completed Year 12 with a minimum ATAR score of 40 (Including bonus points)
  • International Baccalaureate (IB)
  • Completed all 8 courses in the Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation Program
  • Completed or partially completed a Vocational Education Training (VET) Diploma or Higher Education Qualification
  • Completed a VET Certificate IV qualification, or
  • Relevant work experience
